Ijeoma Oguagha, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Carthage. She sees patients from newborn to 18 years of age. “I absolutely adore children. After seeing my little sister sick as a child and watching her amazing doctors save her life, I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician.

“As a pediatrician, I want my patients and their parents to always know they can be honest with me. It is important that they feel comfortable enough to be honest without fear of being judged, because that is how I can provide the best care possible,” she said.

Dr. Oguagha’s stresses preventive care and leading a healthy life, so she can watch her patients grow into healthy adults.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Oguagha enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching movies, crocheting and listening to gospel music. She also speaks the Nigerian language Igbo.

Had a really good experience with them years ago when my daughter got her teeth fixed, and recently (today) when my son got his done. They're super compassionate, and work efficiently. So grateful.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE ER ONLY: The ER is simply magnificent! Efficient, professional, courteous and expeditious. Quick check-in with fast triage. Staff focused on the problem from a through z. The attending physician was not some greenee fresh out of medical school, but well seasoned physician who acted quickly and decisively to resolve my ailment. Made me better by a country mile with a smile and I was in and out within the hour. To all who were involved in assisting with my visit that day my highest gratitude and a score of 5 x 5. Thank you. PS. I only wish I could say the same about the hospital at that facility......

Really nice service. Promptly admitted my mother into the emergency room. Quickly gave her medication to relieve her pain. Seem genuinely concerned about her well being.

The staff in the front always greet me and are always smiling the back staff are always quick and efficient.  Words can not describe how much I appreciate this office.  The physicians are amazing also but without good staff then you don't have great physicians.

Recommend. Treated well with back to back knee surgeries. Went smoothly, what more could you ask for?

My 87-year-old mother received suburb care at this hospital when she had a stroke in 2019. Everyone did very well- everyone I encountered. I'm especially grateful to the nursing staff, nursing manager, the doctors, every CNA, the medical testing specialists, the gift shop people, security, every level of the cleaning team, billing and the cafeteria staff. Comfort food done right. As an adult family caregiver of a parent with dementia, I felt relieved to know and see that how well she was cared for at Lovelace. Her doctors explained things to me so well. This is a loving place- a caring, very professional hospital. And I really appreciated the experience of being there daily to visit my mom while she recovered. Most importantly, my mom recovered & returned home healthy. Very Family Friendly. She's still alive, as of the Fall of 2020,  and is watching Netflix with her doggie in her lap; here at home.
